活动经费申请

中华学生学者联谊会为参与国际会议,学术交流活动以及组织活动的 TRU 在校学生提供活动经费支持。这些经费可能由中华学生学者联谊会向 TRUSU 代为申请,亦或是由中华学社学者联谊会收入支出。若要申请经费,首先你必须要是在读的,至少注册一门课,并且 GPA 达到2.5分以上的 TRU 学生(不包含 Open Learning 学生)。此外,你的活动还必须要符合以下所有描述中的至少一项以达到活动经费申请的基本要求。活动经费申请可能持续2周至4周,因而,你需要尽早提交信息。

赞助资金类型:

类型一:中华学生学者联谊会梦想赞助金

申请要求:

  1. 活动以宣传中国文化为目的。
  2. 活动以促进中国学生学术交流为目的。

申请者可以至多获得 $2000.00 赞助金。


类型二:Conference Attendance Grant(由 TRUCSSA 代为申请)

This grant is intended to support students in attending conferences which enhance their educational opportunities outside of the classroom. Grants are eligible to cover 90% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $1,000/person and $5,000/group. Eligible expenses include registration fees, accommodation costs (does not include food), and travel costs.

In order to be eligible for funding

  • all individuals included in your application must be registered in at least one on-campus course in the current semester;
  • the conference may not be required for completion of your course or program;
  • the conference you are attending may not take place more than one semester into the future;
  • another group may not have already received funding to attend the same conference;
  • members of your group may not have received uReap funding for research related to the conference

类型三:General Event Grant(由 TRUCSSA 代为申请)

This grant is intended to support campus groups in hosting events which develop a sense of community and campus life. There is no limit to the number of applications a club or campus group can submit in a given year. Grants are eligible to cover 75% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $1,000/event. Eligible expense are: food and beverage expenses, entertainment or talent expenses, sounds and production expenses, venue expenses, and material and supply expenses.

In order to be eligible for this grant your group:

  • must be a registered club or campus group;
  • must be able to demonstrate need (we fund events not fundraisers);
  • may not have already received a TRUSU Grant for this event or activity;
  • may not be receiving course or program credit or the event or activity.

类型四:Educational Event Grant(由 TRUCSSA 代为申请)

This grant is intended to support campus groups in hosting events that are educational in nature and support the strategic priorities of the University. This is a much more rigorous application process than the general event grants and clubs are only eligible to submit one educational event grant application in a fiscal year (Aug 1st – July 31st). Applications must demonstrate how they will work to ensure student success for attendees as well as a minimum of one of the other four strategic priorities of the University. The University’s strategic priorities include:

  1. Ensuring Student Success
  2. Addressing Economic/Social/Environmental Sustainability
  3. Sharing and Experiencing Intercultural Understanding
  4. Fostering Community Collaboration
  5. Developing Student Research Capacity

Grants are eligible to cover 75% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $5,000/event. Eligible expense are: food and beverage expenses, entertainment or talent expenses, sounds and production expenses, venue expenses, and material and supply expenses.

In order to be eligible for this grant your group:

  • must be a registered club or campus group;
  • must be able to demonstrate need (we fund activities not fundraisers);
  • must have a TRU faculty or staff member supporting your application;
  • must be able to demonstrate that you can or will secure revenue to cover a minimum of 25% of your event expenses;
  • may not have already received a TRUSU Grant for this event or activity;
  • may not be receiving course or program credit for the event or activity.

类型五:Guest Lecture Grant(由 TRUCSSA 代为申请)

This grant is intended to support faculty-specific lectures to enhance a sense of collegiality and academic culture between students and faculty members within the various faculties at TRU. Faculties are encourages to develop lectures that take place throughout the academic term on topics related to their field of interest. Guest lectures are eligible for a maximum of $2,000 per application. Expenses eligible for grant funding are: speaker fees, accommodation expenses, travel expenses, and sound or production expenses.

Applications must be submit by a student and a faculty member studying and teaching in the same faculty.
